Who Should Consider Riverwalk Adult Day Services?

Picture
  • Adults who cannot be left alone due to mental or physical challenges.
  • Persons at risk of falling or in need of help with daily activities.
  • Anyone with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's, stroke, Parkinson's, diabetes, or arthritis.
  • Loved ones who use a wheelchair, canes or require medication reminders.
  • Participants that could benefit from socialization.
  • Adults looking for affordable day services to allow aging at home.

Adult Care Services

Trained Staff

Registered nurses, activity coordinator, and activity assistants cater to the needs of participants. All staff received updated adult care education annually and all staff undergo a criminal background check prior to employment.

Activities

Life enriching programs such as daily exercise, music, arts & crafts, board games, pet visits, outings, chapel service, and entertainers are coordinated for participants. Staff also facilitate socialization and strive to create a community enviroment.

Health Monitoring

Registered nurses provide medical monitoring of participants' current condition, medication management, referrals for care, and family consultation. Medical professionals may also provide seminars and support for caregivers.

Transportation

Door-to-door transportation can be arranged to and from Riverwalk Adult Day Services for an additional fee.

To qualify for Adult Care with Riverwalk Adult Day Services, participants must:

  1. Be over age 18.
  2. Be continent of bowel and bladder and able to toilet themselves.
  3. Must be free of communicable dieaseses.
  4. Be able to participate in a group setting.
